Registered Nursing
As a current student with an outlook toward nursing, for my future career, I plan to work as a registered Nurse with a specialty in Pediatrics. With this, this is the career summary, outlook, wage, skills and education required, and more for nursing.
Career descriptionAs a Registered Nurse, one will work alongside with physicals, medical technicians, and other health care professionals as a team to deliver patient care. As a RN you will provide coordinate care to patients, and educate patients about various personal and public health concerns and conditions. In nursing, there are various settings that one can work in, such as a clinical (Out-Patient), Hospital (in-patient), travel nursing, emergency medicine and more. When one works as a nurse, there are many outlets and many settings that one can provide care in, and one can also specialize in a specialty such as geriatrics, obstetrics, pediatrics, emergency medicine and more.

Education RequiredWhen becoming a Nurse, you must be have a higher education with at least an associate degree in nursing. Typically there are three routes of becoming a nurse. The three common routes for becoming a nurse is getting an ASN (Associate of Science in Nursing), becoming an LPN (licensed practical Nurse) and eventually become a RN, and getting a BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing). In most cases people usually go and take the BSN route and become a nurse after four years. For others, becoming a nurse is done by getting an ADN and or ASN and becoming an LPN first and then continue their education while working, attending a RN to BSN program. Either way one becomes a nurse, everyone gets enough experience and skills while in school to help others when one gets out.
Skills and Outlooksome skills that are needed to be a nurse is patience, and having empathy for others. Along side you must be able to work under pressure and help others in hard times. Many nurses are also very kind hearted and want to help others. The job outlook for this job is 7% for the future (3,096,700 Nurses in the coming years), and is to have a bright outlook for others.
